Handwriting on enclosure:"July 4, 1941.A scene in Isaac Thomas's store 3 miles east of Athens on the Nick Davis Pike. Taken from rear of hte store looking toward the front. On left with back to camera and hand on paper rack is Mr. Will Smith, one time blacksmith at Mr. Oscar Thomas's shop at French's Mill and later at Isaac's when Isaac had a shop. He helped cook the meat and now is helping to sell it. Farther along the counter, another clerk back of counter resting elbows on paper spool is Vick Craft and beyond him is Stanford Craft with Isaac Thomas just beyond him."
